You can use something like Joomla or WordPress, but you are overloading your server with 90% of rubbish you will never use and nerver bother to understand.

Some Tips For Easy Online Market Research

Market research is the best way to find new products and more importantly, determine whether they will sell. 

When we perform market research, we are researching three things (1) the audience (2) the products and (3) the competition.

Think about it this way: would you ever open a cafe in a street without knowing if there are other cafes nearby, or without researching how many people walk by each day? It’s highly unlikely! Without performing adequate market research, online sellers can find themselves with a garage full of $5000 worth of stock and no interested buyers.

To avoid getting yourself into that kind of dreaded situation, read on for my 5 step guide to easy online market research.

Step 1
Come up with a few product ideas. You may already have a few to get you started. Keep in mind the best items to sell are niche items which means they will appeal to only a small audience. This might seem strange, but new sellers become PowerSellers by appealing to a very small number of people then expanding their product range later. A few examples might be: plus size men’s sleepwear, fishing rod holders, left handed can-openers or women’s golf shoes.

Step 2
Next, research these products individually. You can do this by searching through eBay’s completed listings. This will take couple of hours of your time but won’t cost a thing. Start by going to eBay.com and clicking the "advanced search" icon right next to the search bar. Find the heading "search including" and check the box for "completed listings"

Step 3
Next enter a few keywords describing the item you are selling, select a category and hit the search button

Step 4
You’ll now be presented with a list of search results. Scroll through the results and look at how many items sold (represented by their price being written in green) and how many did not sell (represented by their price being written in red). Count up the number of green listings in relation to the number of red. To find a profitable niche product, you need to find a product with at least 60% of its completed listings being green. Scroll through at least 5 pages to really make sure you are onto a good thing.

Step 5
If you’re item meets the 60% threshold; it’s time to find a supplier! If you’re item doesn’t hit the 60% mark, enter a new product idea into the search bar and start over!

How to create a free web hosting server on my computer?

I am thinking of developing a website using WordPress MU. But it wants me to have a host server. Is there any way I can create a free test server until I finally develop my website. I own a domain which I bought a while ago. Please tell me how to do it. I use internet which is connected through landline phone.

For testing purposed you can use install a local server on ur computer. i would suggest installing Apache Server/MySQL database and PHP on ur computer. or u can install a software called XAMPP which bundles all of these.

After you hav completely developed your site, you can buy some web space on a third party server and upload ur website.

btw. if ur using only wordpress.. u can directly install it on the web server instead of installing it on ur computer. cause wordpress doesnt require any development as such.

The first and most obvious problem with WordPress.com is that they don’t allow you to put advertising on your blog. But isn’t that the whole point of affiliate marketing? Yeah, it is.

So right off the bat, you can see that WordPress.com is not for you if that’s your goal. It’s great for personal blogs, not so much for commercial purposes.

And just to mention the other problems briefly: A domain name like sitename.WordPress.com is a little cumbersome and not very professional.

If WordPress.com decided that you were violating their Terms of Service, they could pull your site offline at a moment’s notice and there would be no way for you to retrieve all the hard work you put into it.

That, in fact, is one of the biggest problems with other free blogging sites, such as Blogger or MovableType, as well. You can lose your work without warning. Blogger, for instance, does allow you to place advertising, but again, I don’t recommend that anyone serious about their online business run it on a free platform. It’s simply too risky.

Self-hosted WordPress.org is the best choice for many, and it’s what I recommend to newbies because it’s relatively easy to learn, very powerful, and extremely popular, which means there are lots of themes, plugins, and support out there to use.

The only way I know of to save individual posts is to copy and paste individually. I always write my posts in Word first so I have a computer copy of them.

I want to add an edit button to my website so I can edit it without using dreamweaver or any other software.

I want to use an admin section that i have to log in to in order to edit the website, is there anything I can upload to my server to use to edit the website on the fly?

I don’t use Joomla or any-other CMS, i use an edited template.

In order to get this functionality you would need to switch to CMS (like Joomla). You can take your static template from the current site and convert it to a Joomla template. Then your Web site instead of being static HTML will become dynamically generated CMS based site and you will be able to edit it online by logging into an admin panel and changing content with a WYSIWYG editor.
