Getting Started with cPanel
If your site is on our cPanel business hosting, cPanel is where you manage it: email, files, domains, databases, backups, and statistics, all from one dashboard. This guide gets you oriented.
Logging in
You can reach cPanel two ways:
- Go to
your-domain.com/cpanel(or:2083) and sign in with the username and password we issued when your account was set up. - Or open it from your Lynx client area, which links straight through without a separate login.
If you have lost your credentials, contact us and we will reset them.
Finding your way around
The dashboard groups every tool into labeled sections, so the fastest way to work is to find the right section rather than hunt for a single icon:
- Email — accounts, webmail, forwarders, autoresponders, spam filtering.
- Files — File Manager, backups, FTP accounts, disk usage.
- Domains — subdomains, addon domains, redirects.
- Databases — MySQL databases and users.
- Metrics — visitors, bandwidth, errors, and logs.
Use the search box at the top of cPanel to jump straight to a tool by name.
cPanel vs WHM
Two panels sometimes get confused:
- cPanel manages one hosting account (yours). This is what most customers use.
- WHM (Web Host Manager) is the server-level panel used to create and administer multiple cPanel accounts. It matters for reseller and dedicated setups, not day-to-day site management.
