Influencer marketing ROI uses the base formula ROI = (Attributed Revenue − Total Campaign Cost) / Total Campaign Cost × 100%, where total campaign cost includes influencer fees, product or sample costs, tool and platform costs, and estimated team time. Attributed revenue comes from tracing outcomes to specific creators through four methods used together — UTM parameters, unique discount codes, dedicated landing pages, and affiliate links — since no single method captures everything. Direct ROI isn’t the only number worth tracking: cost per engagement, cost per acquisition, earned media value, response rate, and outreach conversion rate round out the picture. Keep in mind that single-touch attribution tends to undervalue influencer contribution because it credits only the final click.
