Every AI-powered creator marketing effort starts with an objective, not a tool — the order is goal first, tool second, execution third. Creator marketing serves five distinct goal types (brand awareness, engagement, website traffic, lead generation, and sales/conversions), each with its own KPIs; commit to one primary goal and at most one secondary, since chasing awareness and direct sales at once makes attribution unreliable. Pick two or three KPIs that measure progress toward the stated goal directly — impressions and reach for awareness, comment quality and share rate for engagement, attributed revenue and ROAS for sales — and avoid raw volume with no quality dimension. Finally, make the goal measurable: scoped, quantified, realistic, tied to business objectives, and time-bound, using the first campaign as a benchmarking period if no baseline exists.
